TL;DR

Credit Human wanted employees to engage with their benefits—not just receive information about them. SCG transformed a traditional benefits fair into Slackfest, a summer-festival-inspired experience that brought health, wellness, and benefits education to life through interactive experiences, branded elements, and an All Access Pass designed to encourage exploration.

Turning Benefits Education Into an Experience Employees Wanted to Attend

Everyone wants benefits, but not everyone wants to sit through a meeting in the conference room to learn about them. Credit Human wanted to change that by making employee education around health, wellness, and benefits more engaging—and a lot less like paperwork.

The Opportunity

Credit Human wanted to a health and wellness experience that would do more than just distribute information. They wanted to give employees an opportunity to learn about their benefits, connect with wellness resources, and engage with the people and programs available to support them.

A familiar challenge — important employee information doesn’t automatically become engaging simply because it’s important.

SCG saw an opportunity to change the entire experience into an engaging event.

Connecting the Dots

Rather than treating benefits education as another employee communication to be delivered, SCG and Credit Human approached it as an experience to be designed. The teams transformed the fifth floor of the Credit Human offices into Slackfest, a summer-festival-inspired health and wellness fair designed to educate, engage, and empower employees.

The concept brought together employee communications, wellness education, event branding, and interactive experiences—giving employees multiple reasons to participate and explore.

The Solution

A Festival, Not a Benefits Fair

SCG created the visual identity and branded experience for Slackfest, transforming the fifth floor into a vibrant summer festival.

The environment included interactive vendor booths, specialty café offerings, branded swag, biometric screenings, body composition scans, and educational sessions focused on wellness and employee benefits.

Each element gave employees another opportunity to participate, learn, or connect.

Making Exploration Part of the Experience

To encourage employees to explore the event, SCG created the All Access Pass—a festival-inspired passport that rewarded employees for visiting different areas and engaging with the available experiences.

Instead of simply telling employees where to find information, the pass gave them a reason to discover it.

Making Benefits More Memorable

The experience reframed benefits education as something employees could participate in rather than something they simply needed to read or understand.

Health and wellness resources became conversations. Educational sessions became experiences. And benefits information became part of a larger, more memorable employee event.

The Impact

The result was more than a benefits fair.

By reimagining employee education as an immersive summer festival, SCG helped Credit Human create an experience that encouraged employees to explore, learn, and connect.

Slackfest made conversations around health, wellness, and employee benefits more approachable—and demonstrated how thoughtful communication and experience design can turn important information into something people actually want to engage with.

Why It Worked

The success of Slackfest wasn’t about making benefits look more exciting. It was about changing how employees experienced the information.

By connecting communication, branding, wellness programming, and interactive experiences, SCG helped Credit Human turn a traditionally informational event into an opportunity for discovery and connection.

Employee communication doesn’t have to feel like paperwork. Sometimes, the best way to get people to pay attention is to give them an experience worth paying attention to.
